An Open Letter From Our Founder, Cyndie Spiegel

Dear Grown Ass Women™ is an homage to resilient, courageous women over the age of 35; women who’ve seen and done some powerful things but still feel left out and in between.

You see the arc of life within its complexity and ease and carry the weight of the world yet still stand upright, shoulders back with your heart WIDE OPEN.

You navigate this great big world with grace, strength and an honest dose of truth tellin’ because that’s what a grown ass woman must do.

You continue moving, looking upwards and heading onwards without looking back except to witness how far you have come.

As I’ve grown into the woman I am, I’ve witnessed the shifts that happen emotionally, physically and spiritually. I know, even at the age of forty-two years old, that we exist differently than we did a decade ago. We’ve become wiser but still feel misunderstood, we’ve grown stronger than ever and still; we may cry the ugly, mascara-stained tears when things go differently than we’d hoped.

And this, all of it, is Dear Grown Ass Women™.

I am profoundly grateful to the women who’ve taught me how to place one foot in front of the other and keep on keepin’ on.
