We’re a community-led platform unapologetically designed for women over 35.
GenX & GenX(ish) women are often ignored, patronized & simplified by brands and businesses.
We see it often: a community, space or product “for women” but we don’t actually feel served, seen, or welcomed. We are not one large homogenized group who want everything made in pale pink. We’ve patiently waited for the rest of the world to catch on to this. They didn’t. And so we created Dear Grown Ass Women®, a platform and community for diverse, nuanced, savvy women who expect to be treated as such. #WeSeeUS

We bring diverse women together with varying backgrounds, perspectives, and lived experiences.
Most communities are homogenized & silo’d. Everyone looks exactly like us. Here at DGAW®, we honor & highly value diversity. So much so that we have it built into the foundation of our values. We understood the divine beauty of diversity long before it became a catchphrase.

We are not trying to change you, grown ass woman. As you are, you are enough.
Our platform is built on a foundation of evolving and transforming as adult women. Not because we want you to become younger, cooler, or any other -er. Instead, because you deserve to live a high-impact, interesting life filled with incredible experiences and stories to tell, surrounded by a community of badass women. We think it’s a pretty novel idea.

About our founder, Cyndie Spiegel
Cyndie Spiegel is an igniter of powerful conversation and an aspirational voice within women’s leadership and culture. She is a commanding keynote speaker, an innate connector, community builder and all-around truth teller on a mission to empower folks to live more boldly and refine their mindsets for good.
Uninspired by the current representation of “hopeless,” “older” Gen X women, Cyndie founded Dear Grown Ass Women®, a modern community and self-development platform that is unapologetically for multi-faceted women over the age of 35. Cyndie also founded two previous digital communities: The Community (of Us), an online hub for conversation and change-making community, and The Collective (of Us), a curated small business accelerator for women.
Prior to building a successful business and speaking practice, she spent fifteen years in the New York fashion industry, working in senior roles for brands like Coach and Narciso Rodriguez. Cyndie is also a TEDx speaker, a former adjunct professor at Parsons, the New School for Design and Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as being NY certified in Applied Positive Psychology and a 500-hour trained yoga and meditation teacher.
She is a sought-after facilitator and transformational speaker for creative conferences, brands and organizations and has been featured in Entrepreneur, Forbes, Glamour Magazine, Teen Vogue and The Huffington Post. Her first book, A Year of Positive Thinking: Daily Inspiration, Wisdom & Courage, was published in late 2018.
